This site is meant to be easy to read and use for everyone. The goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. That is a goal, not a certification, and this page says plainly what has and has not been checked.

What is built in
- Skip link. The first Tab stop on every page jumps straight to the main content.
- Visible keyboard focus. A two-ring outline shows where you are on any background, in both themes.
- Light and dark themes. Use the sun and moon button. The site starts in light mode and remembers your choice.
- Display settings. The "Aa" button opens a panel with text size (up to 150%), three reading fonts (Lexend, Atkinson Hyperlegible Next and OpenDyslexic), high contrast, a simplified view (one column, no decoration or animation), a reading ruler, a thicker focus outline, a large pointer and a pointer highlight. Your choices are saved on your device only.
- Text-only version of every page. Find the link in the Display settings panel and in the footer. There is also a Markdown copy of every page, mainly for software.
- Search. Press Ctrl+K (or Cmd+K), or use the magnifier button. It works from the keyboard, and results are announced.
- Text alternatives. Meaningful images have alternative text. Purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Reduced motion. Card hover movement stops when your device asks for reduced motion, and the simplified view removes animation and transitions altogether.
- Three languages. The site is available in English, Spanish and Portuguese, with a language switcher in the menu and the footer.
How it was checked
On September 26, 2026, every page was scanned with the axe-core automated checker against the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 A and AA rules and its best-practice rules, in light and dark themes, at desktop width and at a 375 pixel phone width. Problems it found were fixed, and the final scans came back clean. On a sample of pages, text at 150% was also checked at a 320 pixel width, and nothing scrolled sideways. Automated tools find only part of the possible problems, so this is a starting point and not proof of full conformance.
What has not been tested
- Navigating the whole site with a keyboard alone, by a person
- Screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver
- Forced-colors (Windows high contrast) mode
- Browser zoom at 200% and 400%
- Real touch devices
Known limitations
- The Spanish and Portuguese text was drafted with the help of machine translation and is waiting for review by native speakers, so some wording may be awkward.
- The reading ruler does nothing in forced-colors mode, by design, because it would hide the page.
- A full review of the image descriptions in every post has not been done yet.
